Living in Chicago, I needed a pair of tall boots for walking to and from campus. This excluded anything with an extreme heel. The boots are great, they are warm, stay up well and do a fairly decent job of keeping my feet dry when it rains.

I'm returning this boot because the fit was too small. I'm a true 7.5 and this felt like a 7 with a narrow toe. I thought the toe looked more square in the photo, it was very round.

Although the boot is man-made, it doesn't look cheap- it could pass for leather. The calf is snug on me, so tucking in pants is tight but it does have some stretch at the top. Very comfortable to wear right away - no need to break it in. Overall -very happy with the purchase.
