This upright luggage has ultra lightweight construction and weighs less and packs more. The fabric has been upgraded to 2400 denier polyester combined with 900 denier micro- polyester fabric, and the handle is now ergonomic with a TRP grip.
It also includes an add-a-bag strap padded top and side carry handles. It expands to 2 full inches for added packing capacity, and suiter and hanging wetpack.

Misleading description

The dimensions listed for this item are wrong. I purchased it a couple of months ago for my upcoming trip. Now, I'm down to 1 day left before the trip, and I'll have to replace it. The actual dimensions of this piece are 30" by 20" by 13.5". Most airlines require checked luggage to be less than 61" total. I'm not going to run the risk of paying an extra $50 to take this monster, so it turned out to be a complete waste of money, and will just sit and gather dust. Thank you to the other reviewer who took the time to measure it - you may have saved me a $50 surprise.

This is a well-made and very nice piece. Very roomy. And comes with a 10-year warranty. But the dimensions listed on the sales page are incorrect. This unit easily exceeds most airlines maximum of 62 inches total for length+width+height. And if you include the handles in the measurement, then it exceeds it even more. The actual dimensions, not including the handles, are 30 x 20 x 13.5 with nothing packed inside to make it swell even more. I don't want to have a problem with oversized charges at each check-in desk, so I reluctantly returned the American Tourister iLite XL Upright 29". I have ordered the same unit in the next smaller 25" size. I do like the quality and reasonable pricing of the iLite XL series. If you are not going to be flying, or you don't mind paying the airline's oversized luggage charges, then this unit may serve your purpose without any problems. Just remember, it's BIG.
