Beautiful Shoe Disappoints

These shoes are beautifully crafted. I ordered a size 8.5-D. I wanted a pair of saddle oxfords that I could wear in nearly any setting. When the shoes arrived I was so intent on wearing them that I didn't pay immediate attention to two important matters. The shoes were a bit too long and a bit too narrow in the foot box area. I pressed on oblivious to the obvious, though, and wore them to church. The longer I had them on, the more uncomfortable they became. By the time I returned from church, I was ready to return them. They had too much wear on them, so returning them didn't work out either. I will now donate them to a charity that, I am confident, will find someone who will be able to wear them.
Wears this shoe: I would have worn the shoes to work, to semi-formal gatherings and parties.
Looks good but does not fit.

Love the appearance of the shoe. It however is at least one size narrower than it should be. As a result, even with the thinnest of dress socks, I can not comfortably wear.

I have been trying to find this shoe for some time. i was extremely pleased , and pleased with the price. I am dissippointed with the high gloss on the shoe and with the fit. I was told that 'D' was regular or medium width. I have not worn the shoes. I am trying to usepads inside for a better fit.

This style of shoe is a basic and classic cut for the cuffed trouser look. It has been a basic look as has the wing tip. I am glad Florsheim continues to carry this style. I wish it would be available in black on black as well.
