Hush Puppie Mall Walker not for work

I bought this shoe for my work as a chef. I have a hard time finding 6.5W men's shoes. While I like the shoe and am keeping it for dress, it is not good for working because the sole has no give. I cannot bend my feet in it to stoop down and it impairs my ability to do my job. A nice shoe for leisure but not designed for work.

I've worn many shoe brands but this one I found impossible to break-in. And when you try to tame it, you experience leg cramps and quad muscle pain. Forget this one, buy something else.

Like the looks of the shoe. Had heard Hush Puppy was a good brand. The only problem is they seem a little too big. Not sure if it is the wide width or just the size. Afraid to order a size smaller.

Reduced number of shoe lace holes to lace up shoe

The only problem I find with the Mall Walkers by Hush Puppy is that the shoe has only three rows of islets or holes for the laces. The problem with this is that three rows or holes for the laces do not allow the wearer to get the laces sufficiently tight to keep the sides of the shoe tight to the foot. There should be four rows of islets or holes for lacing up the shoe. I have a pair of Rockports which have four rows or islets of holes and this gives a much more secure and tied feel.

I liked the thickness of the soles, which look to be about 5/8 of an inch thick. I have fallen arches andwith these shoes they are very comfortable. I can standfor several hours now. I am a retired and I am a volunteer musician that plays at nursing homes and senior citizen functions so, I do stand for quite awhile when performing. Great Shoes.
