Re-designed for 2008, the next generation Zephyr is a modern boot for the serious hiker and backpacker.
Based on the Vasque exclusive Vibram Summit sole, the new midsole is composed of a PU heel cradle, an EVA forepart and a torsion control TPU stabilizer.
A waterproof 2.4mm leather, high tenacity polyamide mesh and Gore-Tex membrane create a light weight, waterproof breathable upper.
All seams are sealed to provide a highly water-resistant and breathable boot.

I like that they are waterproof, comfortable, and I like the sole. I dislike the heavier than the Vasque Breeze (my old hiking shoe)I bought this shoe for winter camping and hiking in the Northeast. I needed a very waterproof boot for winter camping.
