About 6 or 7 years ago, I bought a pair of wolverine shoes on sale at Holmes shoe store in Moline, IL. I bought them immediately after trying them on, they were the most comfortable shoes I had ever tried on in a shoe store. They eventually proved to be the best shoes I have ever had. One thing I never understood about them was that my socks would first wear out at the front of the big toe. They were so comfortable I didn't worry about it much. Now I am 59 years, have diabetes but am still walking quite a bit. I am also retiring soon and desperately wanted to find another pair of wolverines that were a good fit. I mistakenly ordered the pair from you as a size 12 - my old ones are a size 11. So I thought I would find that the new shoes wouldn't fit and that I would have to send them back. But they were not too big. My old problem with socks wearing out was because my old shoes were too short and that's why the socks wore out in front of the big toe. I would say these shoes are probably closer to a size of 11 1/2 but I am not complaining. For everyday life the only shoes I ever want to wear are these wolverines and since I can't find them in any stores around me, I thought they were possibly pulled from the market. I am very happy I found your site and got my new shoes - I may buy a second pair soon just in case I may not be able to find them again in the future, plus your prices are more than fair.Thanks,Erik
